Structural Design of ISO 7241-A Quick Couplings


ISO 7241-A quick connector is a hydraulic quick connector that complies with the ISO 7241-1 A series standards. Its structural design is mainly aimed at achieving quick connection/disconnection, high sealing, good interchangeability, and durability. It mainly consists of male connectors, female connectors, and sealing structures.


The male connector consists of a Body, Lock Groove, and spring-loaded spool


Body: Conical front end design, easy to insert into female connector.


Lock Groove: The groove is used to engage with the steel ball in the female joint.


Spring loaded valve core: Corresponding to the female head, it automatically opens when connected and automatically closes when disconnected.


The female connector consists of a housing, a search mechanism, a sliding sleeve, and a valve core.


Body: Typically made of steel or stainless steel, it is a pressure bearing component.


Ball Retainer: Multiple steel balls are evenly distributed in the locking ring. Responsible for locking the male connector to prevent detachment.


Sleeve: The manually operated housing part used to release the locking ball. Pull the sliding sleeve backwards to disconnect the connection.
